Susan McConnell is the founder and executive director of Let It Be Us, a 501(c)3 with the mission of changing the outcomes for children in foster care through evidence based and innovative programming. She is a doctoral student in the University of Southern California's Doctorate in Social Work degree program and the chair of the Illinois Statewide Foster Care Advisory Council's Permanency Committee. An adoptive parent, she is a strong advocate for foster care, adoption and openness in adoption.
